👨🍳 Instructions
- Thinly slice the beef against the grain; in a bowl, combine beef with 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and a pinch of black pepper, then marinate for 15 minutes.
- Prepare the sauce by whisking together the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, and water/broth in a small bowl; set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat; add marinated beef and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes, then remove beef and set aside.
- Add broccoli florets to the same skillet, adding a tablespoon of water if needed, and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the broccoli; stir the prepared sauce one last time and pour it over the beef and broccoli.
- Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli; serve immediately, optionally garnished with sesame seeds or green onions, usually over rice.
