👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Heat cooking oil in a large pan or pot over medium heat. Add finely chopped onions and sauté until softened and light golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for another minute until fragrant, stirring constantly.
  3. Add the ground beef to the pan. Break it up with a spoon and cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes, draining any excess fat if necessary.
  4. Stir in cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring to coat the beef evenly.
  5. Add diced tomatoes and a splash of water (about 1/4 cup). Cover the pan and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until the tomatoes soften and blend into the mixture.
  6. Stir in the frozen peas and garam masala. Add more water if the mixture seems too dry; cover and cook for another 5 minutes, or until peas are tender and the keema has thickened to your desired consistency.
  7. Season with salt to taste. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving hot with naan, roti, or rice.
