👨🍳 Instructions
- Heat cooking oil in a large pan or pot over medium heat. Add finely chopped onions and sauté until softened and light golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for another minute until fragrant, stirring constantly.
- Add the ground beef to the pan. Break it up with a spoon and cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes, draining any excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring to coat the beef evenly.
- Add diced tomatoes and a splash of water (about 1/4 cup). Cover the pan and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until the tomatoes soften and blend into the mixture.
- Stir in the frozen peas and garam masala. Add more water if the mixture seems too dry; cover and cook for another 5 minutes, or until peas are tender and the keema has thickened to your desired consistency.
- Season with salt to taste. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving hot with naan, roti, or rice.
