👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Pound chicken breasts to about 1/4 inch thick, then season both sides with salt and pepper. Dredge each piece lightly in flour, shaking off any excess.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through; remove and set aside.
  3. Add butter to the skillet, then sauté minced shallot for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until softened and browned.
  4. Deglaze the pan with Marsala wine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly, then stir in the chicken broth.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it with the sauce. Simmer for another 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the chicken is heated through.
  6. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.
