👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Rinse glutinous rice, millet, red beans, mung beans, peanuts, lotus seeds, and dried longan separately under cold water until the water runs clear; soak red beans, mung beans, peanuts, and lotus seeds in separate bowls of water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Drain all soaked ingredients and combine them with the glutinous rice, millet, red dates, and the measured water in a large pot.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 60-75 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  4. Add rock sugar and a pinch of salt to taste, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  5. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before serving warm; garnish with extra goji berries if desired.
