- Water 150 g · 0 kcal
- Matcha powder 5 g · 15 kcal

- Sweet red bean paste (Anko) 150 g · 350 kcal
👨🍳 Instructions
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, granulated sugar, and matcha powder. Whisk them together until well mixed.
- Gradually add water, stirring continuously until the mixture is smooth and lump-free. Cover the bowl loosely with plastic wrap.
- Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir well, then microwave for another 1-2 minutes until the dough is translucent and sticky.
- Dust a clean surface generously with potato starch. Carefully transfer the hot mochi dough onto the prepared surface.
- Once cooled enough to handle, dust your hands with potato starch and gently knead the mochi a few times. Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces.
- Flatten each mochi piece into a disc. Take a portion of sweet red bean paste and roll it into a ball, then place it in the center of the mochi disc.
- Gently gather the edges of the mochi dough around the filling, pinching them together to seal. Roll it gently between your palms to form a smooth ball.
- Repeat with the remaining mochi pieces and anko. Dust the finished mochi with additional potato starch before serving to prevent sticking.
