Keftedes (Greek Meatballs)

- Ground Beef (80/20) 125 g · 313 kcal
- Onion 38 g · 15 kcal
- Garlic 4 g · 5 kcal
- Breadcrumbs 15 g · 58 kcal
- Egg 13 g · 18 kcal
- Fresh Mint 4 g · 2 kcal
- Fresh Parsley 4 g · 2 kcal
- Olive Oil (for frying, absorbed) 3 g · 29 kcal
👨🍳 Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, finely chopped fresh mint, and parsley.
- Season generously with salt and black pepper; mix everything well with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Form the mixture into small, oval-shaped meatballs, about 4-5 cm long. You should get about 12-15 meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the keftedes in batches for about 3-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the cooked keftedes from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot, optionally garnished with extra fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon.
