👨🍳 Instructions
- Finely chop the onion and fresh parsley. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, parsley, cumin, allspice, black pepper, and 1.5 tsp of salt. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Form the mixture into small, elongated kofta shapes, about 5-6 cm long. You should get approximately 12-16 kofta pieces.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wide pot over medium-high heat. Carefully add the kofta and brown them on all sides for about 5-7 minutes. Remove kofta from the pot and set aside.
- In the same pot, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for another minute. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, add a pinch of sugar (optional, to balance acidity), and 0.5 tsp of salt.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer, then return the browned kofta to the pot. Cover and cook on low heat for 30-35 minutes, or until the kofta are cooked through and tender.
- Serve Kofta bi Bandadora hot, garnished with fresh parsley. It pairs wonderfully with rice, pita bread, or a simple green salad.
