👨🍳 Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onion, finely chopped parsley, cumin, allspice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
- Form the meat mixture into small, flat patties or oval shapes and arrange them in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake the kofta in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly browned. This step partially cooks the kofta and renders some fat.
- While the kofta bakes, prepare the tahini sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together the tahini paste, lemon juice, minced garlic, a pinch of salt, and 1 cup of water until smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add more water, a tablespoon at a time, until it reaches a pourable consistency.
- Remove the kofta from the oven and pour the tahini sauce evenly over the patties. Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and slightly thickened.
- Serve Kofta bi Tahini hot, garnished with extra fresh parsley or pine nuts if desired. It's often enjoyed with pita bread or rice.
