👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Pat the turkey dry thoroughly with paper towels, then season generously inside and out with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a bowl, combine orange juice, orange zest, honey, soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, and olive oil to create the glaze.
  3. Place the turkey in a large roasting pan. Pour about one-third of the glaze over the turkey, rubbing it evenly all over the skin.
  4. Roast the turkey for 3 to 4 hours, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh (without touching bone) reads 74°C (165°F).
  5. During the last hour of cooking, brush the turkey with more glaze every 15-20 minutes to build up a beautiful, sticky coating.
  6. Once cooked, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest, loosely tented with foil, for at least 20-30 minutes before carving. This helps the juices redistribute for a more tender bird.
  7. Carve the turkey and serve with any remaining glaze or pan drippings.
