  • Chicken breast, boneless, skinless 150 g · 248 kcal
  • Barbecue sauce 60 g · 81 kcal
  • Hamburger buns 80 g · 224 kcal

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in a pot and cover with water or broth; bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through. Alternatively, cook chicken in a slow cooker on low for 3-4 hours.
  2. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the liquid and let it cool slightly. Using two forks, shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a clean pot or skillet, combine the shredded chicken with the barbecue sauce. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is thoroughly coated and heated through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Lightly toast the hamburger buns if desired. Spoon a generous amount of the pulled BBQ chicken onto the bottom half of each bun. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
