👨🍳 Instructions
- Cut chicken breast into 1-inch (2.5 cm) cubes. In a large bowl, whisk together yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, tomato paste, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece for even cooking.
- Grill the shish taouk for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through, golden brown, and slightly charred. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving. Shish Taouk is traditionally served with pita bread, garlic sauce (toum), and a side salad or pickles.
