👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken thighs into 1-inch pieces and place them in a mixing bowl. Mince half of the fresh ginger and half of the green onions.
  2. Add the minced ginger and green onions to the chicken. Then add light soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sesame oil, and cornstarch.
  3. Mix all ingredients thoroughly with your hands until the chicken is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.
  4. Prepare a steamer by bringing water to a boil in the bottom pot. Spread the marinated chicken in a single layer on a heatproof plate.
  5. Carefully place the plate with chicken into the steamer. Cover and steam for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  6. Garnish with the remaining sliced green onions and serve immediately, optionally with a side of steamed rice.
