👨🍳 Instructions
- Finely mince garlic and chilies; thinly slice shallot. Prepare the sauce by combining fish sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar in a small bowl.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic, chilies, and shallot, stir-fry until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add ground chicken to the wok and break it up with a spoon. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and stir to combine well. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
- Remove the wok from heat, then add the fresh Thai basil leaves. Toss quickly until the basil is wilted but still vibrant, about 15-30 seconds.
- Serve immediately over hot jasmine rice. For an authentic touch, you can top it with a fried egg.
