👨🍳 Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Halve the bell peppers lengthwise, remove the seeds and membranes, and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes, then stir in minced garlic for 1 minute.
- Add ground turkey to the skillet and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the cooked rice, diced tomatoes (undrained), half of the tomato sauce, dried oregano, black pepper, and salt to taste. Mix well.
- Place the bell pepper halves cut-side up in a baking dish. Spoon the turkey and rice mixture evenly into each pepper half.
- Pour the remaining tomato sauce over and around the stuffed peppers in the baking dish. Cover with foil.
- Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and continue baking for another 15 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the filling is heated through. Serve hot.
