👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Halve the bell peppers lengthwise, remove the seeds and membranes, and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes, then stir in minced garlic for 1 minute.
  3. Add ground turkey to the skillet and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in the cooked rice, diced tomatoes (undrained), half of the tomato sauce, dried oregano, black pepper, and salt to taste. Mix well.
  5. Place the bell pepper halves cut-side up in a baking dish. Spoon the turkey and rice mixture evenly into each pepper half.
  6. Pour the remaining tomato sauce over and around the stuffed peppers in the baking dish. Cover with foil.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and continue baking for another 15 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the filling is heated through. Serve hot.
