🛒 Ingredients

  • Squid, cleaned 200 g · 156 kcal
  • Olive oil 15 g · 135 kcal
  • Lemon, juice 15 g · 3 kcal
  • Garlic, minced 5 g · 7 kcal
  • Fresh parsley, chopped 5 g · 2 kcal

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Rinse the cleaned squid thoroughly under cold water and pat dry with paper towels; if using whole squid, score the bodies diagonally without cutting all the way through.
  2. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper to make the marinade. Add the squid to the marinade, tossing to coat evenly, and let it marinate for 10-15 minutes at room temperature.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
  4. Place the marinated squid on the hot grill. Grill for 2-3 minutes per side, or until opaque and slightly charred, being careful not to overcook as squid can become rubbery.
  5. Remove from grill, sprinkle with additional fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
