👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients: boil yellow noodles according to package instructions, rinse, drain, and set aside. Slice shallots, mince garlic, shred cabbage, and have shrimp ready.
  2. Heat cooking oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced shallots and minced garlic, stir-fry until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add shrimp to the wok and stir-fry until they turn pink and are almost cooked through, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Stir in shredded cabbage and continue to stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened but still crisp.
  5. Add the cooked yellow noodles, bean sprouts, Kecap Manis, soy sauce, chili sauce, and tomato ketchup to the wok. Toss everything together vigorously to combine and coat the noodles evenly with the sauce.
  6. Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring all ingredients are well combined and heated through. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Serve the Mee Goreng hot, garnished with a fried egg and chopped green onions.
