- Rinse clams thoroughly under cold running water, scrubbing off any dirt and discarding any open clams that don't close when tapped.
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Add the cleaned clams to the pot, cover tightly, and steam for 5-7 minutes, or until all clams have opened.
