  1. Soak the almonds in water overnight, or for at least 8 hours, to soften them. Drain and rinse thoroughly.
  2. Combine the soaked almonds with fresh water in a high-speed blender; blend for 1-2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  3. Place a nut milk bag or a fine-mesh sieve lined with cheesecloth over a large bowl, then pour the almond mixture through to separate the pulp from the milk.
  4. Squeeze the bag or gently press the pulp to extract as much liquid as possible, then discard the pulp.
  5. Transfer the freshly made almond milk to an airtight container and refrigerate; it will last for up to 3-5 days.
