👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Clean the asari clams by soaking them in lightly salted water for 30-60 minutes to remove sand; drain well.
  2. In a pot, bring the water and dashi powder to a boil, then add the cleaned clams.
  3. Simmer until the clams open, removing any unopened clams. Skim off any foam from the surface.
  4. Reduce heat to low, then dissolve the miso paste by scooping some broth into a ladle with the miso, mixing it until smooth, and then adding it back to the pot.
  5. Add the dried wakame seaweed and green onions, simmer for another minute, then remove from heat and serve immediately.
