  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or kadai over medium heat. Once hot, add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add cumin seeds, finely chopped green chili, and grated ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the shredded white cabbage and turmeric powder to the pan. Mix well to coat the cabbage evenly with spices.
  4. Season with salt and a pinch of sugar, then cover and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender-crisp.
