👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Cut paneer into 1-inch cubes. In a bowl, toss paneer cubes with 1 tablespoon cornflour and a pinch of salt until lightly coated.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the paneer cubes until golden brown and crispy, then remove and set aside on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  3. In the same pan, leaving about 1 tablespoon of oil, add minced garlic, ginger, and chopped green chillies. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add diced onions and bell peppers to the pan. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are slightly tender-crisp.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, tomato ketchup, red chilli sauce, remaining cornflour, sugar, salt and water to form a smooth sauce mixture.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture into the pan with the vegetables. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
  7. Add the fried paneer cubes to the pan and toss gently to coat them evenly with the sauce. Cook for another minute to heat through.
  8. Drizzle with sesame oil, garnish with chopped spring onions, and serve hot.
