🛒 Ingredients

  • White Sandwich Bread 60 g · 160 kcal
  • English Cucumber 50 g · 8 kcal
  • Unsalted Butter, softened 20 g · 140 kcal
  • Fresh Dill, chopped 2 g · 1 kcal
  • Black pepper, freshly ground 1 g · 0 kcal

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare the cucumber: Peel (if desired) and thinly slice the cucumber. Place slices on paper towels and lightly salt them to draw out excess moisture; let sit for 10-15 minutes, then pat dry.
  2. Prepare the bread and spread: Remove crusts from the sandwich bread slices. Evenly spread softened butter or cream cheese on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Assemble the sandwiches: Arrange the patted-dry cucumber slices evenly over the buttered side of two bread slices. Sprinkle with fresh dill and a grind of black pepper.
  4. Finish and serve: Top with the remaining two bread slices (buttered side down), gently press, and trim the crusts once more. Cut each sandwich into four triangles or two rectangles and serve immediately.
