🛒 Ingredients
- Matsoni (full-fat yogurt) 200 g · 124 kcal
- Water 80 g · 0 kcal
- Egg 15 g · 23 kcal
- Cooked short-grain rice 30 g · 39 kcal
- Cooked chickpeas 30 g · 45 kcal
- Fresh dill 8 g · 3 kcal
- Fresh cilantro 8 g · 2 kcal
- Fresh mint 5 g · 2 kcal
- Fresh spinach 20 g · 5 kcal
👨🍳 Instructions
- Wash and finely chop all fresh herbs (dill, cilantro, mint, spinach). Set aside.
- In a large pot, whisk together the yogurt, water, and egg until smooth.
- Add the cooked rice and cooked chickpeas to the yogurt mixture and stir well.
- Place the pot over medium-low heat and cook, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon in one direction, until the mixture begins to simmer gently. Do not allow it to boil vigorously to prevent curdling.
- Once simmering, reduce heat to low and add the chopped herbs. Continue to stir occasionally for another 5-10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Season with salt to taste. Serve Dovga warm or chilled, garnished with extra fresh herbs.
