👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. In a pot, sauté finely chopped onion in a little oil until translucent, then add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  2. Stir in sweet paprika, immediately add green beans and water (or broth) to prevent paprika from burning, then season with salt.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until green beans are tender.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together flour and a tablespoon of sour cream until smooth to create a roux base.
  5. Gradually whisk a few spoonfuls of the hot stew liquid into the flour mixture to temper it, then slowly pour the tempered mixture back into the pot, stirring constantly until the fozelek thickens.
  6. Cook for a few more minutes, stirring, until the flour is cooked through and the fozelek reaches desired consistency; add vinegar to taste.
  7. Serve hot, optionally with an extra dollop of sour cream on top.
