- Calamari (Squid), cleaned 250 g · 215 kcal
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil 30 g · 265 kcal
- Fresh Lemon Juice 20 g · 4 kcal
- Garlic, minced 6 g · 9 kcal
- Fresh Parsley, chopped 10 g · 4 kcal
👨🍳 Instructions
- Clean the calamari: separate tentacles and body, remove quill, entrails, and skin. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Cut body into rings or leave whole.
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the cleaned calamari to the marinade, ensuring it's well coated. Marinate for at least 15-30 minutes at room temperature, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
- Grill the calamari for 2-3 minutes per side, or until opaque, slightly charred, and tender. Be careful not to overcook, as it can become rubbery.
- Remove from grill, transfer to a serving platter, and drizzle with any remaining marinade or a fresh squeeze of lemon. Serve immediately.
