🛒 Ingredients

  • Calamari (Squid), cleaned 250 g · 215 kcal
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil 30 g · 265 kcal
  • Fresh Lemon Juice 20 g · 4 kcal
  • Garlic, minced 6 g · 9 kcal
  • Fresh Parsley, chopped 10 g · 4 kcal

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Clean the calamari: separate tentacles and body, remove quill, entrails, and skin. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Cut body into rings or leave whole.
  2. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Add the cleaned calamari to the marinade, ensuring it's well coated. Marinate for at least 15-30 minutes at room temperature, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
  5. Grill the calamari for 2-3 minutes per side, or until opaque, slightly charred, and tender. Be careful not to overcook, as it can become rubbery.
  6. Remove from grill, transfer to a serving platter, and drizzle with any remaining marinade or a fresh squeeze of lemon. Serve immediately.
