🛒 Ingredients
- Water 60 g · 0 kcal
- Freshly squeezed orange juice 125 g · 59 kcal
- Granulated sugar 25 g · 100 kcal
👨🍳 Instructions
- Combine water and granulated sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved, then remove from heat and let cool.
- Once the sugar syrup has cooled, stir in the freshly squeezed orange juice.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow freezer-safe dish, such as a metal baking pan or glass casserole dish. Place it in the freezer.
- After about 30-45 minutes, check the granita; when ice crystals begin to form around the edges, use a fork to scrape the frozen parts towards the center.
- Repeat the scraping process every 30-45 minutes for about 3-4 hours, or until the granita has a light, flaky, and icy texture. Serve immediately.
