👨🍳 Instructions
- Wash and seed all bell peppers, then slice them into strips; peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.
- Heat olive oil in a large pot or deep pan over medium heat; add the chopped onion and sauté until softened and translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the sliced bell peppers and minced garlic to the pan, stirring well to combine with the onion.
- Sauté for another 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the peppers start to soften.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes, season with salt and pepper to taste, and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- Reduce heat to low, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until the peppers are very tender and the sauce has thickened.
