👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Clean and scale the grouper fish, pat it dry with paper towels, then score both sides of the fish with diagonal cuts.
  2. Stuff some ginger slices and scallion whites into the fish cavity and slits; place the fish on a heatproof plate.
  3. Prepare a steamer with boiling water and place the plate with the fish inside; steam for 8-10 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flaky.
  4. Carefully remove the steamed fish from the steamer, discard the ginger and scallions from the cavity, and drain any excess liquid from the plate.
  5. Garnish the fish with fresh ginger slivers, scallion greens, and cilantro.
  6. In a small saucepan, heat the cooking oil until smoking, then carefully pour it over the ginger and scallions on the fish to sizzle and release their aroma.
  7. Finally, drizzle the light soy sauce and sesame oil evenly over the fish and serve immediately.
