  • Fresh Ginger, julienned 10 g · 8 kcal
  • Green Onions, sliced 15 g · 5 kcal
  • Light Soy Sauce (Gluten-Free) 24 g · 13 kcal
  • Sesame Oil 5 g · 41 kcal
  • Neutral Cooking Oil (e.g., Grapeseed or Canola) 9 g · 81 kcal

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Rinse the cleaned trout under cold water and pat dry with paper towels; make a few diagonal slits on both sides of the fish.
  2. Place half of the julienned ginger and sliced green onions inside the fish cavity and scatter the remaining half on top.
  3. Place the trout on a heatproof plate and steam it in a preheated steamer over high heat for 10-12 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily.
  4. Carefully remove the steamed fish. Heat the neutral cooking oil in a small pan until shimmering, then pour it evenly over the fish and its toppings.
  5. Drizzle the light soy sauce over the fish and serve immediately, optionally garnished with extra fresh green onions.
