  • Wahoo fillet 150 g · 150 kcal
  • Fresh ginger 5 g · 4 kcal
  • Green onions (scallions) 5 g · 2 kcal
  • Soy sauce 30 g · 16 kcal
  • Sesame oil 5 g · 45 kcal
  • Fresh cilantro (garnish) 5 g · 1 kcal

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare the wahoo fillet by rinsing it under cold water and patting it dry. Score the thickest part of the fillet a couple of times to ensure even cooking.
  2. Thinly slice fresh ginger and green onions. Place some ginger slices and green onion whites on top of and under the wahoo fillet.
  3. Place the prepared wahoo in a heatproof dish and put it into a steamer. Steam for 8-12 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  4. While the fish is steaming, mix soy sauce and sesame oil in a small bowl to create the dressing.
  5. Once steamed, carefully transfer the wahoo fillet to a serving plate. Drizzle generously with the prepared soy-sesame dressing.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro and remaining green onions. Serve immediately with steamed rice or vegetables.
