- Dry soybeans 25 g · 112 kcal
- Granulated sugar 15 g · 58 kcal
- Water 210 g · 0 kcal
👨🍳 Instructions
- Rinse the dry soybeans thoroughly and soak them in a large bowl with plenty of fresh water for at least 8 hours or overnight.
- Drain the soaked soybeans and rinse them again; discard the soaking water.
- Combine the rinsed soybeans with the water (210g) in a high-speed blender and blend until very smooth and creamy.
- Place a cheesecloth or a fine-mesh sieve over a large pot and pour the blended mixture through it, squeezing out as much liquid as possible from the soy pulp (okara).
- Bring the strained soy milk to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.
- Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar (15g) until it is fully dissolved.
- Serve the sweet soy milk warm or chilled, as desired.
