🛒 Ingredients

  • Farmer's Cheese (Tvorog), 9% fat 167 g · 267 kcal
  • Egg, large 20 g · 27 kcal
  • All-purpose flour 20 g · 73 kcal
  • Vegetable oil 7 g · 63 kcal

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the farmer's cheese, egg, 10g of sugar, and 1g of salt. Mix thoroughly with a fork or spatula until a relatively smooth, homogenous mixture forms.
  2. Add the all-purpose flour to the mixture and gently combine until just incorporated, being careful not to overmix the dough.
  3. Lightly dust your hands and a clean work surface with a little extra flour. Take portions of the dough (about 50-60g each) and gently roll them into small, flattened patties, approximately 1.5-2 cm thick.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Carefully place the syrniki into the hot pan, leaving some space between them for even cooking.
  5. Fry the syrniki for 3-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through. Serve hot, traditionally with a dollop of sour cream, jam, or fresh berries.
