👨🍳 Instructions
- Season the fish fillets with lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Let marinate for 15-20 minutes while preparing other ingredients.
- In a large, heavy-bottomed pot (preferably a clay pot), layer half of the sliced onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, and minced garlic.
- Arrange the marinated fish fillets over the vegetable layer, then top with the remaining half of the onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, and garlic.
- Drizzle the dendê oil and pour the coconut milk evenly over the layers. Sprinkle with half of the fresh cilantro.
- Cover the pot and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flaky.
- Garnish with the remaining fresh cilantro and serve hot, traditionally with white rice and pirão.
