👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. If using a rice cooker, cook sushi rice according to package directions; otherwise, rinse rice until water runs clear, then cook with 1:1 water ratio for 15 minutes, then let stand covered for 5 minutes.
  2. While rice cooks, in a medium bowl, combine diced ahi tuna, low sodium soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, granulated sugar, diced sweet onion, and half of the chopped green onions.
  3. Stir gently to combine all ingredients, then let the poke marinate for at least 10-15 minutes in the refrigerator to allow flavors to meld.
  4. To serve, spoon the cooked sushi rice into a bowl, top generously with the marinated tuna poke, and garnish with the remaining chopped green onions and toasted white sesame seeds.
