👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, sake, 10g granulated sugar, minced ginger, and minced garlic to create the teriyaki sauce.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon, skin-side down, and sear for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
  4. Flip the salmon and pour the teriyaki sauce over it. Simmer for another 3-4 minutes, spooning the sauce over the fillets, until the salmon is cooked through and the sauce has thickened and glazed the fish.
  5. Remove from heat, drizzle with sesame oil, and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
