Salmon Teriyaki

- Salmon Fillet 150 g · 300 kcal
- Soy Sauce 30 g · 20 kcal
- Mirin 30 g · 70 kcal
- Sake (Cooking Wine) 15 g · 15 kcal
- Fresh Ginger 5 g · 4 kcal
- Fresh Garlic 5 g · 7 kcal
- Sesame Oil 4 g · 40 kcal
- Vegetable Oil 2 g · 18 kcal
- Toasted Sesame Seeds 2 g · 11 kcal
- Green Onions (Scallions) 5 g · 2 kcal
👨🍳 Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, sake, 10g granulated sugar, minced ginger, and minced garlic to create the teriyaki sauce.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon, skin-side down, and sear for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
- Flip the salmon and pour the teriyaki sauce over it. Simmer for another 3-4 minutes, spooning the sauce over the fillets, until the salmon is cooked through and the sauce has thickened and glazed the fish.
- Remove from heat, drizzle with sesame oil, and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
