👨🍳 Instructions
- Boil potatoes, carrots, beetroots, and eggs until tender; let them cool completely, then peel all ingredients.
- Finely dice the herring fillets and the onion. Grate the potatoes, carrots, beetroots, and eggs separately.
- In a serving dish, create the first layer with diced herring, followed by the diced onion, then a thin layer of mayonnaise.
- Add a layer of grated potatoes, spread evenly, and cover with more mayonnaise.
- Follow with a layer of grated carrots, another layer of mayonnaise, then the grated eggs, and another thin layer of mayonnaise.
- Finish with the grated beetroots as the top layer, spreading them evenly. Gently cover the beetroot layer with a final generous coating of mayonnaise.
- Chill the Shuba in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
- Garnish with fresh dill or parsley before serving.
