🛒 Ingredients

  • Sole fillet 180 g · 170 kcal
  • All-purpose flour 15 g · 55 kcal
  • Unsalted butter 40 g · 290 kcal
  • Fresh lemon 20 g · 4 kcal
  • Fresh parsley 5 g · 2 kcal

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Pat the sole fillets completely dry with paper towels; season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides. Dredge each fillet lightly in all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess.
  2. Melt half of the unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it just begins to foam. Carefully place the sole fillets in the hot butter and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove the cooked sole fillets from the skillet and set aside on a warm plate. Add the remaining unsalted butter to the same skillet and cook over medium heat, swirling occasionally, until it turns a nutty brown color.
  4. Immediately stir in the fresh lemon juice and chopped fresh parsley into the brown butter sauce. Pour the warm sauce generously over the cooked sole fillets and serve immediately, optionally with additional lemon wedges.
